ITGA of South Sulawesi Attended in A Cultural Dialog

On December 16th-17th, A Cultural Dialog was held in Kenari Tower Hotel, Makassar. A great numbers of people coming to attend the nationally great meeting by the theme : Figuring out the matters of culture, history and community in Indonesia either locally or nationaly.

The Dialog was run by the workers of cultural congress led by DR. Mukhlis PaEni, aiming at preparing and concluding the cultural and historical matters for putting it forward in the next cultural congress in 2013. iIt took place in two days and attended by approximately a hundred and twenty invited people, either as participants or as speakers. The participants were students of some famous universities in Sulawesi, lecturers, teachers and some others related to the culture and history as well as tour guides listed in ITGA of South Sulawesi. Where as the speakers were some reliable cultural and historical experts from various provinces.


" As guides, this dialog is very useful for getting and increasing cultural and histiorical knowledge, where in turn, it will be valuable in guiding activity " Mr. Bur said, a senior tour guide who participated in this dialog invited personally by the chief of commitee Mr. Suriadi Mappangara, one of familiar cultural experts in this area.

The speakers were reliable cultural experts like DR. Anhar Gongong, DR. Nunding Ram, Prof. DR. Edy Setiawaty and some other senior cultural experts from different places. They presented their papers based on the matters of culture , history and community in their own places, for instance like what DR. Bernada Materay from Papua exposed in her papers titled " Review of Indonesia Nationality Sense in PapuaViewpoint ". These papers provoked plenty of various response from participants due to in Papua currently emerged separation turmoil.

Anyway, outside of the summarized result of the dialog for taking to the next cultural congress in 2013, All the participants represented by DR. Mukhlis PaEni, agreed about the existance of plurality and diversity between them, but not to alter their nationality sense just because of the plurality and diversity.
